Below is a healthy and fully charged new battery plate.  As the process of sulfation accumulation occurs, you will see how these formations begin to crystallize and decrease the performance abilities of the battery even though the battery is recharged regularly. Normal recharging with conventional chargers do not effectively and safely remove sulfation to the degree and at the rate of speed that our specialized battery restoration pulse chargers do.

   
 The regular conventional recharging process can restore the specific gravity back to 1280-1285 in your average 1-3 year old forklift batteries and in your 1-2 year golf batteries. However, as batteries are used repeatedly and are recharged and discharged (cycled), through normal use, the sulfation build up progressively resists converting back into active liquid electrolyte and remains in a crystallized form lodged within the pores of the spongy negative plate material. Unless batteries are reconditioned using industry approved and accepted battery reconditioning equipment and an effective process to identify and select reconditionable batteries from the start, the sulfation will continue to accumulate on the lead plates of the battery and inhibit the battery’s ability to receive and store power effectively. Sulfation allows the type of power theft from batteries that also causes other vehicle parts to wear out more quickly adding additional labor and repair costs to your forklifts, automobiles and golf cars.

What makes our reconditioning process so effective?

 The battery restoration chargers that we offer are uniquely designed pulse chargers that contain both charging and pulse technology algorithms that target sulfate crystals on the lead plates. Once these pulses of current make contact with the crystallized sulfate deposits, the pulses of current shatter the deposits without damaging the plate itself and transforms the crystallized sulfation that was formerly attached to the battery plate back into liquid sulfuric acid. The sulfate deposits dissolve in with the lightly heated electrolyte generated by the charging properties of the technology which allows the sulfuric acid and water to properly remix in the battery. This leaves the battery plate in a renewed state with more available surface area to receive and store power for later use.

Those high frequency high current chargers generate heat levels that cause damage to both the positive and negative plates. Nor are they like the conventional fast charging systems that are widely used for opportunity charging to compensate for poorly managed workflows or poor rotation practices.
